 ART SHOW and Auction 2012
 Coming February 28th is our Santee School District Foundation’s Annual Art Show and Auction. Our show highlights student creativity and art production and raise money to support the Arts Attack program hosted at each school site.
Many of you have seen the spectacular products brought home by your children, or perhaps, you have volunteered in a classroom when students are engaged in art lessons based on techniques and skills ranging from sculpture-work, painting, or sketching. Each grade level has lessons that develop a skill focused on color, shape, or even patterning and often emulate a famous artist’s piece of work.
Aspiring artists may submit an individual art project student (look for a flyer coming soon), which may be created at home or at school as part of individual or group projects. Amazing art can then be purchased by families or community art lovers on the night of the event. The year’s event will feature a live auction of student-created pieces, silent auction items, vendors, Arts Attack highlight tables, and even art centers for kids to enjoy.

Make it a family night out where students can show projects that their school has worked on, or can take part in a short art experience themselves that they can take home. We look forward to seeing you there on February 28th! |
